To be a bit pedantic, they are standard 747-400s... DoD charters are planned pretty far in advance and UA schedules aircraft for them the same way they do for normal revenue service, save for the ferry flights at either end for positioning. UA no longer operates N194UA, which was the 'charter' 747 in the old pre-IPTE configuration.
