25% of that brings the total to $210 :O Thanks for pointing that out, now I'm ready for one less surprise

Now I've seen around the forums that in many cases Hertz aren't providing the spare tire anymore, they just give the tire kit which may be useless depending on the type of damage sustained.

I believe an overall better solution would be to get some AAA contract as you first suggested, it would make more sense and give me enough peace of mind to worry about other important things along the trip.
