Sounds spot on. We were there in June and it hasn't changed since June 2 years before, (nor I suspect quite a few years before that), however, clean pleasant and everyone seems to still have the island spirit, (pax included).

As there is only one flight per day it doesn't open much before the flight is due to leave i.e. open from 18:00 to 20:30 each day.

As you say it is a shame about the cost of the tickets but when the hotels are so expensive I guess no-one cares!
