Just spoke to Ebookers UK asking for a refund and they put me on hold while they spoke to Alitalia. 20 minutes later the exasperated Ebookers agent said he managed finally to get to the right department at Alitalia but they told him they are having IT problems at the moment and to call back later.
In my conversation with Ebookers UK, the agent came back after a 50 min hold and said that Alitalia would allow him to cancel, BUT they will NEITHER confirm the refund amount NOR the time to refund. Suggested to try again in 24 hrs to see if there is any more clarity.
Have there been any normal outcomes, thus far, with ebookers?
