No more smoking cars on Nozomi and Hikari Shinkansen
JR Tokai has announced the planned schedule change which will take place on March 4, 2017. As of March 4, 2017 all Nozomi and Hikari will be run by N700A trains.

As far as passengers will be concerned, this means as of March 4, 2017 there will be no more smoking cars on Nozomi and Hikari. There may not be dedicated car for smoking passengers, but there will be small smoking rooms (walled off area enough for two or three people to stand) at car no. 3, 7, 10, and 15.
