CVS is auto drain, so it will figure out what is left on the card or take what it needs.
i see. didnt know that. so you dont have to say "i am gonna pay $25 now" before swiping, or fear the Simon FB will be rejected bc insufficient funds. the latter has been the reason why i m loading $495 each time instead of $500 cos have to consider the purchase fee of $3.95/$4.95 too. i guess i can ramp up now.

For the next purchase, you can use some of the other $25s and the $147.05 remaining on the last card above. Just make sure your 7th card has enough left to cover remainder. If it doesn't they will have to void the transaction and start again.

You could also start with the $147.05, then a couple $25s and then a 500. Since you only get 7 swipes, you want to use up the the smaller ones up and have a full $500 purchase.
yep. got it thanks. have you been doing the 'debit' or 'credit' method all these while? only reason i m not doing credit now is bc i want to avoid the need to hand over my card to cashier to show the last 4 digits. i also dont know if there is actually any benefit of swiping as credit over debit.
