And today's boarding report comes from MANchester: in stark contrast to EDI yesterday, it was a complete cluster ****. The overcrowded terminal doesn't help, so you end up boarding in a corridor with a general and a priority line. But 40% of people in the priority line are just general boarders who have seen a queue and stood in it and 50% are OW Ruby/Sapphire. So they call out OWE/Gold and I get a major tut tutting from somebody in front of me in the queue for heading for the gate agent, but it has Sapphire written all over the tut tutters boarding pass.

I told the gate agent they should forget about calling out Gold/Emerald to board first and just have first come, first served in the priority line for anybody with any status as the calling out Gold/Emerald first in such a confined space is just a total waste and gets everyone worked up.
