Since retirement I have been downgraded to a basic Sky Miles status. I m traveling with my family (9 people) to an area in the Caribbean that requires a $25 fee per bag per person each way. It appears that if I get a Delta Credit Card I could get the entire baggage fees waived. My question is am I reading the T and C's correctly? My Sky Miles number is already in my reservation.
My area of concern is that the explanation states that the ticket must have been paid with the Sky Miles card. However I only found out about the card and the free baggage offer after I made the reservation and paid for this tickets.
Anyone have any experience with this. I do realize that the cost of the card is $0.00 for year one, so if the agent at the ticket counter does NOT allow our free baggage allowance, I didn't lose any money as long as I cancel the card before year one ends.
