We rode the 787 from JNB-DOH in Y 1st row. Seats are thin and narrow. Wasn't comfortable at all for seating.
On a positive note though the air quality is much better. I had read numerous posts about it but never really believed it until my throat wasn't dry after an 8 hour flight. Prefer the 777 way more, though not as new. Would love to try the a350
