Not sure anyone notices this. I think the CX delay problem is intentional.
I use Feichangzhun APP from China to track my flight status. Out of my last 10 CX/KA flights in and out of China and Taiwan, at least 6-7 flights were delayed. No surprise. However, the APP provide flight details of the previous segment for the operating aircraft. Even on scheduled time, there is no way the aircraft can make it to the next flight on time. There is usually only 15min or 30 min for turnaround before the aircraft operates my flight.
And I also notice that CX's turnaround time is way longer than Chinese airlines. Air China can turnaround at HK airport in 45 min. CX usually takes about 1 and half hours. And the most annoying part is that CX usually send a SMS notification saying the flight will be delayed by 40 min. In reality, it will be delayed by roughly 1.5 hours or more after scheduled departure time, even after the previous flight arrives 40 min late, because the turnaround usually causes further delay.
