Just to clarify, and rule out other lines of enquiry: did you simply buy a ticket in First on AA.com - you didn't respond to an email or kiosk uprade offer - and you then flew on their aircraft that you were originally booked on? In other words there were no changes to the flights after booking?
I didn't respond to any email or upgrade offer.
I've purchased the ticket with AA as a first/business class ticket:
CUN-MIA - D class
MIA-EWR - A class
This is also what the email I got from them indicated as the booking classes. On AA website it was presented as First Class Cabin tickets.
I'm guessing it's their "web site" voodoo. I now know better to take screen shots...
In any case, I'm waiting for
