Anyone know how to upgrade a "U" fare w/miles? I knew there's a reason I don't fly DL...
There is no way to upgrade "U" fare with miles. Upgrades with miles on DL begin at "K" fares for "old" miles and "M" for new miles. If upgrading is important to you, consider getting a comp to Medallion status (US Gold might get you DL Gold). "U" fares are automatically (have to have been requested) upgraded for Golds at 12 hours before flight time. Not recommending that you get a comp since its usually a one time only event.
