Flew the old 777 in F for the first time MIA to BCN last week and wow was it bad. I was appalled that AA actually would have such an outdated product like that still. The IFE was awful on here. Mine stopped working halfway thru the flt, and it left a lot to be desired before that point. The FA tracked down a tablet for me thankfully as resetting it did nothing. Multiple other pax had this same issue. Two pax had seats where they couldn't turn the light off to sleep. Awful. Will say the one FA in particular was excellent.

It was a J>F paid upgrade, my company allowed me to book J because of the flt time and I upgraded on my own dime. I only did it because I wanted to get a nice rest, since the J on that plane is even worse, and to me the F seat is good for sleeping. Fortunately I was able to return again back to JFK and got the 772. Definitely not as easy to sleep with the tiny footwell and being 6'4, but other than that the experience was much better.
