Additionally, I haven't flown this Configuration in Business before. Is there a separation by the Galley Between rows 3 and 4 or any other obstructing issue (i.e. Restroom) Seat Guru doesn't show that, but by the narrative above I'm confused.. Thanks and Safe Travels
I just flew 4L round trip EWR-HNL-no real complaints. First flight to HNL was a day flight they had the old blankets and I wasn't quite sure how to setup the bed properly so I got intermittent sleep. On the way back we had the new Polaris/Saks 5th Ave bedding (softer and nicer!). I made a duvet/cocoon type nest with the blanket and was able to get flully flat solid sleep from after dinner all the way til breakfast an hour before landing. I'm 5'11" (10.5 actually) I was able to get up over my wife without any issues.
As for 1A-there IS a space between row 1 and the galley-but that space is the lavs. Hard to illustrate-but its basically row 1, then the port/starboard lavs and an alley between them to cross over (which MAY have a drink cart in it) THEN the galley. If you're in the window and can sleep on your left side-i'd say go for it as there's more footroom in row 1, but I can't complain about 4L-once I figured the seat positioning and how to setup the blanket, I was lights out.
Also-if you like a window-DO NOT TAKE 5A/L!! There's no window! Nothing but sidewall!
