If people were selling miles on Taobao, the logical direction would be to shut these sellers down just like how eBay and Amazon shuts down counterfeits as well as to a certain extent, sales of frequent flyer miles. Or, they can pose as a buyer and then shut down those fraudulent accounts.
Yet, they decide to penalize legitimate customers who happened to redeem hard earned miles on seats that would otherwise fly empty...
