The general consensus from what I can gather is that Jokers earned while passing through the various GGL lvls (5K and 6K) are replaced when your new earning year starts.
Assuming that is true, am I right in saying you should burn any jokers earned during your TP year prior to the clock resetting and they will then be awarded to you again when the counter goes back to zero?

yes you will in effect lose the jokers on renewal and get 2 more 'new ones', if you don't use them.

If you don't know when you can use them and you want to save them, you can always book the Jokers before renewal, book them as far away as poss, so it gives you flexibility to changes those dates - i.e. up to 12 months the ticket is valid for. You can always cancel.

I tend to find using the jokers not as desirable as others as I like flying a lot, so much prefer 10 flights instead of 1!! Jokers are fantastic if you like direct flights or want to go to Australia for example.

But when we do use the Jokers, we go for F on the a380 to lax. Lovely plane.
