I think the check in agent may have had a trainee badge on so could be why it was not mentioned to me.

Also my Diamond letter (see below) did not mention taking breakfast in the restaurant even though others have said theirs did. Only mention is on the standard Executive room letter which states an up-charge of 350THB per person. Weird .
