AF and baggage misconnection refund times?

Hi,

Recently had the displeasure of a bag misconnection in MAD, on Nov 10th.
Flying BOG-MAD-CDG, the bags did not make the final connection on the MAD-CDG sector, and thus I filed a missed bag form.
Baggage arrived with the following flight on the 10th, and was supposed to be delivered on the 11th.
Guess what, after waiting all day on the 11th, I got a call at 21:15 from Af stating my bags would be delivered at the address I quoted on the 12th afternoon.
problem was, we were staying at friends in Paris and had to head off for a family event in Normandy before going back to London a couple of days later.
Agent stated delivery to Normandy was not possible, so they forwarded the bags to my work address in London, where I picked them up on the 14th.
As I did only have the clothes I was wearing (bad packing on my part), I had to shop for a few, but also had the car seat in one of the bags that went missing. so had to rent a new one.
Bag claim reimbursment submitted on the 16th, and I have only been asked to send the original invoices today.

Couple of questions:
1. Do you think they could delay the refund due to the car seat issue?
2. Usually, once they get the original invoices, do you know how long it takes for the refund to hit the account?
