No deicing equip at PDX no hotel voucher??
So I am currently at Portland airport. All flights out on S WA are canceled through the evening. I other airlines seem to be running normal operations. In talking to the supervisor she acknowledges that other airlines have icing equipment available, but Southwest does not, thus The cancellations.
wondering how they can call this a weather problem? Why should this not be considered an equipment problem? Again, if other airlines are maintaining their normal operations it seems hard to call it a weather problem justifiably. Of course we all know all airlines will do what they can to avoid vouchering and compensation. So my question is what can I do to preserve my rights the best I can.
I'm not looking to fight with the agents here at the desk, and realize I'm probably going to have to do with after-the-fact compensation. However I'm open to any suggestions especially what I can do to document that this is a SW a problem not a weather problem .
