MH is definitely better than SQ.

I have flown with MH from LHR - KUL and KUL - LHR, twice, but I still prefer to fly with SQ and I have made my mind up not to fly with them again.

Food - the food in SQ looks more fresh than MH. I had roast lam in MH and it tasted like it had just been over-heated in the microwave. When I complained, they changed it for me with an attitude because they don't agree with what I said.

Lounge - The MH lounge in LHR and KUL are good. They look very impressive, but the food in KUL lounge are not so appealing. Also, they have limited computers. SQ lounge in LHR and SIN are good - food are good, more computers than MH. However, it is a bit too crowded. Their lounge in KUL is very very small and the snacks are absolutely basic and limited.

Seats - MH seats are old and most of them don't work. On one of the flights, I had to change my seats twice until I get a seat that works. On my way back to London, the passenger sitting next to me had to change his seat cos it doesn't work. I had a chat with the supervisor and asked why had this happened and his answer was that the aircrafts are normally maintained in KUL, but he was speechless when I said that we tok off from KUL and the seat still doesn't work.

Movies - MH is back-dated and SQ shows the latest movies. Not the absolute latest but good enough.

Service - MH has bad ground service in LHR and KUL but their in flight crew are alright. SQ has good service throughout my whole journey all the time.
