Thumbs down Etihad guest keeps on deteriorating

Last week I received an sms message from Etihad informing me that as a special case they can extend my Gold guest membership which is due to expire, by taking one flight in any class before the 1st of March provided the ticket was purchased before 17 December. A link was attached to the message which opened on the right page. I sent an email to guest services to inquire and get more clarification. Then started an assortment of replies - from asking me if I received an email or not as only an email was considered to be acceptable to others saying they were not aware of this offer and to one who flatly said i was not eligible for this offer! Not that I am interested anymore in taking my business here but this just shows the state of affairs they have.
