Thumbs down CX will no longer unblock blocked seats. Not even for MPC members.

It wasn't even the emergency exit seats. But rather 2 seats together in Business Class next week between HKG and MEL. All the available seats are gone and on my flight only 17AC, 16HK and 17HK have been blocked off. Supposedly for airport check-in, but it has been known that CX's elite members could get those seats unblocked.

Not any more.

CX 'Control' will absolutely not unblock those seats. In fact, telling me to do internet check-in on the day of departure. I wouldn't have minded but the problem is that I am departing from London to Melbourne via HK and my sister is joining me from HK on the same flight to Melbourne and we have seperate PNRs. My sis is also not computer savy.

Why on earth does the MPC do their best to please their top tier customers only to start something like this?
