We recently stayed in the Scandic Brugge / Bruges - very nice, quiet location, a €5.00 cab ride or 20 minute walk to the Markt. Typically great Scandic buffet breakfast, very responsive to Diamond status.
Also at the Scandic Grand Place Brussel / Bruxelles. Not really in the Grand Place, but close enough, and closer still to Rue des Bouchers and a gazillion places to eat (and to drink, La Morte Subite, or Delirium Tremens.) Smaller rooms in need of refurbishment, decent breakfast, impersonal service, excellent location (walk from Centraal / Central rr station.)
My best stay for a C101 may have been Hilton Narita. And I second Buenos Aires, that is one nice property, very attentive service as well. BUT somene took my credit card info and attempted a US$3,500 charge to Neiman Marcus and sending a confederate in Miami the loot! (Reported to Hilton International, and to the Hilton Buenos Aires in Pto. Madero - the GM seemed a bit disinterested until I mentioned a thief is also likely to be robbing THEM blind!)
"Si me está robando a mi, imagínese que le esta haciendo a su hotel…"
Did you find out what they bought at Nieman Marcus?
