Usually in cases like this I would reply: "Ok, I expect a call back in an hour or I'm calling back again for an update, and by then if it's not done I would expect to talk to a supervisor to escalate the situation."
A: The first Taipei office agent didnt mention she would contact BA to follow up this matter. It was likely " This is BA' business, and I cant help you either."
Did you try to ask that since it's the Cathay's change of schedule that made this necessary, that they needed to reimburse your hotel fee or book you into a preferred hotel of their choice?
A: I did mention to MPC agent that I would stay in London overnight. Are you going to pay the hotel for me? She answered, NO. I also mentioned the hotel thing to BA and still got a NO....
No, obviously you only wanted a particular flight that has no particular seat that you wanted, and you expected Cathay or British Air to pull someone out of an I-fare seat to accommodate you, which they have declined to do.
A: Because both CX and BA refused to pay the hotel for me, CX251 becomes the only option I would accept. I dont think my request went too far, since I was an innocence party in this case.
