In a shock revelation for BA, it seems that when you park at a remote stand with no air bridge which is too far from the terminal, the passengers can't just teleport into the terminal and you need a bus. And I think they have just realised that someone has to arrange a bus. The arent just buses driving around looking for people to pick up like outside the airport.
Its not just buses, when I flew into LHR from DUB recently there was a wait for someone to operate the jetty bridge, and then an even longer wait for someone to open the door into the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands route - if only there was some sort of timetable which told staff when a plane was arriving
