Yup, I always have pre-arranged transfers in CUN and hate having to walk the gauntlet of scammers to get to my transfer.
The worst is upon arriving to the airport to leave, people will scoop up your luggage and bring it into the terminal before you're even out of the van, of course expecting a tip. Sorry, I don't tip for services I didn't ask for.
Speaking of tipping for services I didn't ask for, even the janitorial staff at CUN are in on it. Just a few weeks ago I was washing my hands and the janitor was in the process of refilling the paper towel dispenser. As I finish, he hands me a few towels, I just thought he was being courteous. I take them, thank him, and notice he has his hand held out, with a $5 bill folded up in it, expecting a tip.
