LAS. Timeshare touts, long taxi queues, long rental car queues, and just the icky feeling of being in a city I know I don't want to be in for very long. Some actual beggars would be welcome: I might stop and have an authentic conversation with them about what a sh*tty airport that is.
You said hellhole...it was the first thing that came to mind. Only place I've ever had to take a Lyft just to get to the rental cars.
Most of my developing-world airport experiences have been okay. I usually do a little research ahead of time and figure out how to identify bandit cabs vs. legitimate ones. On occasion, I've pre-arranged a car ahead of time. If it's an Uber town, I figure that out in advance and use if possible.
My home airport (MCI) is brutal for taxis. They're a pain to get, and most of them suck once you get them. KC cabbies are just as likely to try the "broken credit card machine" scam as anyone in the developing world.

(Fortunately, I don't usually need a taxi. If you've driven and parked, MCI is great...short walk from car to plane, indoors if you prefer.)
