I've seen scattered comments here on Indian airlines' domestic service, including in response to a couple of my own threads. But I haven't found any threads that compare them. So...

This coming February, as part of our vacation in India, my wife and I will be flying to and/or from Mumbai, Vizag, Kochi and possibly Hyderabad, Goa and/or Dehlhi. Does anyone have any recommendations on which would be the best or worst airlines to fly? Depending on the route, I'm seeing options on Air India, Hahn Air Systems, Indigo, Jet, SpiceJet and Vistara. Any recommendations re any of them in terms of service, reliability and safety?

Also, would you know if any of them allow passengers to book exit rows (or any other rows that might have extra legroom)? I'm pretty tall, so we'd shell out money for such seats even if they cost more.
