Hello folks - I searched the forum for what I thought would be an obvious question someone would ask, but can't seem to find...
I'm about to book a flight on amextravel using points, and at the last step I'm seeing this message:
How Membership Rewards® Points Redemption Works:
The full cost of the trip will be charged to an American Express® Card account linked to your Membership Rewards® account.
That Card account will be credited based on the amount of Membership Rewards® points used toward the cost of the trip.
Note: Membership Rewards® points cannot be converted back into your account once redeemed.
So what happens if I cancel the booking, say within the 24 hours cancelation grace period? If the points can't be returned to my account, how will the refund work? Will it be refunded in money, at $0.01 per point??
