I booked a trip BOS-DFW roundtrip and originally ordered an unrestricted coach and was upgraded to First class for free. They put class A on the ticket. I never got an answer or could find out why I was given a free upgrade (not that I'm complaining). I had gold status last year but am not certain I have it this year as well.

Question: What are "stickers"? I've seen several references to them but haven't been able to figure out just what people are talking about.

Also any ideas as to why I was upgraded?
