I was going to go through your 13 service failues one by one (as I think some are unfair) but thought it would be just as easy to summarise! My wife is at the gym, so I thought I'd give me thoughts... not that they're worth anything!
STPC
Qatar have failed you here by saying they will provide a hotel and then not. Above all other issues, this is the one that I'd be angriest about. Once they've rejected STPC, they will also make you pay for the visa, unfortunately. Not many on here have had goodwill from the QR call centres...
Emergency Landing
Firstly, I serviously doubt that QR would ever have put you in danger by leaving you on the plane. I'd assume that this was assessed and it was deemed to be the safest place for everyone, otherwise you'd have been down the evac slide and into the cold pretty quick. Also, not sure what you expect the airline to do about keeping you warm after an emergency landing: if this was a priority, you're life vest would be made out of sheepskin.
Re-Booking
I don't think you can expect QR to re-book you (and 300 others) on to other flights leaving from foreign airport. It does sound like the re-booking process in DOH was a bit of a shambles and this is always frustrating as a customer. Often this sort of situation is where customer service can flourish or flounder and QR's support guys have a tendency to do the latter.
Cancelled Booking
Having previously worked in call centres, there's nothing more annoying that passing something to a colleague who then doesn't follow up. Someone hasn't done what was promised and this sort of thing makes me pretty mad. Positive outcome is obviously that you got re-booked, albeit due to your own efforts.
Upgrade
I don't think you were ever going to get an upgrade, it was just that no-one wanted to tell you that. Easy to get the next guy to tell you... then the next guy... until there's no-one left. I also don't think you were entitled to an upgrade, FWIW.
Suitcases
Well, this just tops it all off!
