henry999 the later, 'shorter', connection in DOH to HKG arrives HKG at 20.55 whilst the HKG-ADL flight departs at 19.05. The 'longer' connection that bananahead is booked on arrives HKG at 14.45.
The crux of the matter is that QR are keeping to their STPC rules by ignoring the onward connection from HKG. They are also ignoring the fact that QR have themselves cancelled the flight, not the passenger, and are thus responsible for the passenger throughout the reroute.
