I always thought one thing was sacred and would never change. It appears my bubble has been burst. For many more years than I can remember there has always been Rodda's Cornish clotted cream on board for the scones. When I say many years I mean long enough ago, before I knew better, that I was young enough to think the first time I was given it that it had gone off because of the top layer.
Anyway, yesterday afternoon on the afternoon tea service to NCE there was no Rodda's on the tray. Instead there was a small container (not even branded) of cream of some sort. Mrs. Boyfrombiot's container did not even have enough cream in it to cover the scone.
I mentioned it to the Purser and she also expressed surprise at the change.
