My last LGW North experience on BA- what is going on?

I am not the biggest LGW fan it is fair to say, and like most on here I have watched with concern as my favourite airline has gone into something of a nosedive in terms of service.

So I wasn't much looking forward to my VIE-LGW flight tonight.

Indeed, it got off to the start I was expecting, with boarding chaotic- I have given up on VIE on that front.

On board in CE: what a revelation. Nothing major, just a friendly pro-active crew, two rounds of drinks, a decent meal and then a final request if I wanted anything else. Arrived 20 minutes early. At this point I am thinking that something must surely go wrong.

Arrivals is quiet- immigration takes about 3 minutes. Surely the shuttle will break down. Nope- it was there almost waiting for me. The trains? They were running on time too. In short- the perfect trip. If they could all be like that (or even, say, 50% of trips could be like that) then I would be a very happy customer indeed. You see BA it CAN be done.

So I bid farewell to LGW North not with a snarl but a well done.

I think I need a lie down.
