Yes I saw the program. Chengdu. Route now cancelled or about to be cancelled due to lack of passengers. I didn't see anything about tea ceremonies in that program.
I'd expect BA cabin crew to be trained in things like use of the left hand in ME. Or double handed business card etiquette in China. Thats a realistic knowledge of cultural etiquette.
You are really expecting knowledge of an Arabic tea ceremony? Really? If so you must experience a lot of of disappointments in your day to day life. As you say, just being honest.
