Thanks for the welcome! I've been lurking over in the Amex MR subforum for six months or so, but hadn't yet been moved to post.

I've read good things about the Kahala, but my wife is set on Waikiki. This is her part of the trip (mine is the French Laundry when we get to SF the following week), so I'm not insisting on any location changes. Happy wife, etc.... :-)
