The Halekulani receives many Japanese guests who demand the finest in accomodations and service. My treatment at the Halekulani was always first-class (and the ocean frontage was special).
Hi,
Thanks for the info!
Halekulani was my first inclination, though I've read a few things that didn't impress me:
- Small, spartan rooms and bathrooms that don't quite meet Western expectations for luxury accommodations
- Indifferent service and staff responsiveness
- Restaurant smells filtering up into rooms when balcony windows are open
Would you say that those concerns are unfounded? Which room/suites would you recommend to avoid them (I was thinking of a Jr. Ocean Suite)? Would you consider Halekulani to be a luxury property in NY or Paris?
Thanks, again, for the assistance!
Ken
