Just curious about what you guys do. To me, tipping the maid is something you do to thank her for keeping your room up while you're staying in a hotel. Now that most hotels have the "make a green choice" option (or something equivalent), when you use it, you are not taking advantage of maid service at all. I know that the maid cleans the room before you get there and after you leave, but I really don't see that so much a s service to me as I see it as a basic service to the hotel.

So, what do you think? If you make a green choice, do you still tip the maid?
