Yeah, in all honesty whatever OP is trying to do sounds like an absolute nightmare. I mean, I've been known to do the weirdo multimodal transits from LGA/JFK using public transportation when I have a ton of time on my hands and am traveling on my own dime, knowing it's going to save like 50 bucks. But OP looks like he's still going to be spending close to $40 and with a ton of hassle. Cab would be like $60-ish from either airport IIRC and would probably save a lot of time and standing around. If the marginal $20 is an issue, I probably wouldn't be staying at the MH...
