I have the reverse problem once - AC credited a booking I upgraded from K to P (by just purchasing the higher fare) as K. UA MP fixed it once I provided the ticket receipt showing "P". But it seems like you don't have that and it's notoriously difficult to talk to an actual person at Aeroplan about these issues. So that's why I suggest dealing with UA.
Any specific terms I should use when calling UA?
