The problem is, when I go into "My Itineraries" on DL.com, it only shows me the seat layout for the unchanged flights - the new flights which I am now booked on do not show a map (or even come up as a choice). There appears no way to choose a seat for a flight after DL's schedule changes.

Do I have to call SMS/DL or is this a glitch in the website whenever DL changes its schedule?
My wife and I book well in advance more often than not and this often happens. If it is just a time or flight number change, even though it shows your seat as "not assigned," you actually will have your previously selected seat. If there is an equipment change, they will randomly assign you a seat in whatever part of the plane you were previously in. The only way I have found to clean up the records is to call SMS. They can do it quickly and you can immediately see the result when you re-view your "my itineraries."

It's a ridiculous system. We have several trips to SFO already booked for later this year and they recently changed the departure time by ONE MINUTE. The SMS person had to go into every one of those records for my account and then my wife's account and change them. What a waste of time for all concerned. You want to do it, however, because if you don't it will screw up on-line (and possibly kiosk) check-in.
