Yes! Sorry, only now realizing that I never updated this.

We went with the Dome Hotel, as the charming boutique style appealed to us much more than the, well, palatial style of the Grand Palace.

We enjoyed the hotel, though don't expect super-polished luxury; I'm not sure that really exists here...we originally booked the Grand Palace, and my interactions with their team in advance of the trip weren't the warmest either.

Note that the suites are not true suites, either.

With that said, the location is perfect for sightseeing, the breakfast is excellent (truly one of the better hotel breakfasts we've had in recent memory, not in variety but in quality), and the hard product is charming.

The staff tries, but ultimately I'd categorize it as an upscale boutique hotel more than a luxury hotel in the context of this forum.

Still, I'd happily stay there again over the Grand Palace around the corner. We walked in and it seemed stuffy, very old-school, though if you're into that kind of thing, that's certainly the better choice for you.
