2 calls : same answer. Kind of outsourcing untrained / useless / sovietic style customer service.
They don't have any other answer than : "book another ticket".
I did not actually think it was funny, but I found it even LESS amusing when the same thing happened to me with Swiss a couple of weeks ago: I booked a business class point-to-point (multi sector) fare via their website, normally speaking ALL LX business class fares booked through swiss.com are flexible.
I needed to change a sector, called Swiss and had the shock of my life when I found out that the website, without telling me nor offering me any option, had transformed this to a completely inflexible fare basis (business restricted, which incidentally you can choose on LX flights from lufthansa.com but NOT from the Swiss website).
not a happy camper.
