In my two latest flights I've noticed that the seat maps shows 10+ free ("unselected" rather than "available" admittedly). On boarding they fill up with what look to me as "airline employees" types. Don't ask me for a formal definition; it's a hunch build on 20 years of flying as a passenger and I might be wrong.
