Insulted by Crew Member -complain or not ?
I have just got off the worst ever flight with BA from LHR to AMS
I am a large gentleman with a 44 waist but I never have any problems fitting a seat belt - there is normally 4 or 5 inches if spare belt when fastened even when flying from LCY.
Boarded and did my self belt up in seat 2A. After the safety video was show staff did the security check - and was rather sharp with 2F for putting his bag not fully under his chair. He then at the top of his voice to the whole plane insulted me by effectively calling me fat by instead of asking if my seat belt was fastened and asking to see it said "Do you want an Extension belt".
I accept my belly covers my seat belt and have many times been asked "Can I see your seat belt" which is fine. Even if I needed an Extension Belt there are many more tactful ways of asking the question once you know the belt cannot be fastened.
Whilst the purser/senior crew apologised but should I take it further.
