Actually I like talking to the FAs. Have learned quite a lot about different cities and received valuable shopping tips
The only *problem* areas I have consistently are the CDG crews (yes I know there are excellent & exceptional FAs once in a while). Most recently in January (though I've been assured by a purser that situation will be a changin'). So when I have the (dis)pleasure of being (under)served - and I'm not talking booze, but having to hang up my own coat in C, etc. - I just keep my interaction to a minimum. Yet, I always remember to say "si vous plait" or "merci" or yes/no/please/thanks with smile though sometimes it almost pains me. [Just do it while inwardly rolling your eyes or crossing your fingers behind your back

mentally writing down their name for a letter to HQ]
Great flight attendants (like the HKG crews) can make the flights more fun -- not to mention safe. Keeping in mind that the plane is like their office - would you want someone coming into your office and treating your employees rudely or indifferently? Crikey, imagine your friends or family members are working the flight.
Cost of your ticket: $x.xx
Cost of your politeness and maybe a few kind words: $0
The ticket price covers transportation carriage & taxes. If you're lucky some food & drinks. Nowhere does it say that pax can be rude or abusive to the employees just because they paid x-amount for their tix.
