I actually quite liked the high comfort seats on the 777... I always had a sweater or a hooded top in my cabin bag, put that on, with a blanket, a cup of tea, my feet up on the jump seat opposite and a read of my book and I was a happy camper... ^
But you are right... Not my concern any more.
