Is this really a hypothetical, or is this something that you actually went through last weekend? If it's real, give us more details, like your exact original routing, what caused the delays, how you asked for and were given the new routes, etc.

If you expect any level of actual insight or advice, you need to provide actual, concrete details. Otherwise, many of us are just going to continue making flippant remarks.

Also, to be blunt, the reputation you're building for yourself in the laptop thread doesn't help much. It speaks to a general disregard of rules as they apply to you and a tendency to leave out information, or heavily skew the presentation to leave yourself in a positive light, at the expense of actually just telling an anonymous internet forum what actually happened (which, in turn, makes it more difficult for people to provide a relevant and meaningful response).
