Hope I am not off topic...please see link. At bottom of page it states that all flights have AA flight numbers although that does not appear on the itinerary

Seems like a lot of miles (23k?) for very few $$. 3.3 CPM and two days in air
as shown by the OP. Where did I make mistake? Even gets me too my local airport. Thanks in advance..want to get my miles early this year. Also if I wanted to upgrade some or all segments using miles + cash, can they only be used on AA metal? I'm sure the complexities of this have been asked and answered but I can't find it.
