If you have access to both lounges, Plaza Premium is definitely the way to go. Bathrooms are better, WiFi is faster, food is more tastier (and more substantive), bar service is superior, and there are fewer people in a bigger space. It's no competition.

All of that said, both lounges are merely adequate as far as Priority Pass options go.

I wouldn't get to MCT early to spend time in the lounge.

I fly to/from MCT reasonably often so am quite familiar with the Plaza Premium lounge. More often than not, the reception staff are too busy on their mobiles so I just walk in without any interaction. The food is basic and not particularly appetising. One thing that irks me is their lack of choice of beer. I only drink beer. They invariably have only one beer like Budweiser or Amstel, both of which I hate. They used to have Heineken, but not any more. I didn't find the bar staff to be all that friendly, plus you have to ask for peanuts rather than them being offered.

Agreed, it's not worth getting there early. Thirty minutes is enough.
